Eniwe Children’s Fund September 2015 update

We’re heading for December at a drastic speed, where has the time gone?
Since our last newsletter update we’ve had our hands full with tending to our ongoing projects as well as taking on very important new projects.
We’re still very much committed to feeding 100 hungry school-going children every day, as well as holding fun-filled recreational days out to feed our little peoples souls.
We’re also still very much involved with child headed household projects whereby we build new, safe and secure homes for child headed families that have either been abandoned or have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS.
Our new ‘baby’ is a foster family living in Vrygrond. We have ‘adopted’ this family of 6 children ranging between the ages of 2 – 14 years (and not forgetting their resident 4-legged friend Blackie). There is a trained and registered foster mother on site that takes cares of these beautiful kiddies on a day to day basis. They live in dire conditions, and have very little means of income. We have stepped in and have taken over some of the responsibilities to make sure that these children at least have full bellies, and have their most immediate needs attended to.
We have big plans for this family, including a veggie garden, much needed upgrades to their kitchen and bathroom, property extensions and we’ll also be putting an income generator in place to help this family sustain themselves. ***EXCITING TIMES AHEAD***

To all our donors, THANK YOU for your continuous support! Without you we wouldn’t be where we are today!
A really BIG thank you must go out to Gail & Michel from Versacart for donating the funds for our latest child headed household home.
